Creating a Google Ads account

First of all, you need to link your Gmail to your website. Register and create an account for free and easily, in just a few minutes. Here’s how to do it:

1- Access to Google Ads

On the Google Ads page, click the blue “Start now” button in the upper right corner. Select the e-mail address where you want to register. If you already have a Google Account (Gmail), use this email address. If you want other people to be able to use your Google Ads account, invite them after you have created the account.

2- Login to Gmail


If you already have a Google Account (i.e. if you already use another Google product, such as Gmail), please enter your Google email address and password and click Sign In. But don’t worry, if you don’t have a Gmail yet or want to sign in with a different email address, click the Create Account button at the bottom of the screen and follow the instructions to create and confirm your new Google account.

3- Definition of the main objective


In this step, Google Ads asks which results you would like to achieve. Then choose the one that best describes your plan, which can be: getting more calls, visits to your store, more online sales, or customer sign-ups.

4- Expert Mode

If you choose Expert Mode, you can define your advertising goal in a little more detail. You can create an advertising campaign immediately, choosing the type of campaign you plan to run in the next step. You can choose from the following campaign types: Search Network Campaign Smart Campaigns, Shopping Campaigns, Display Advertising Campaigns, Video Campaigns, , among others.

With that, enter the company name, the website name, and follow the steps below as Google Ads directs:

5- Definitions

You can use various company data sources and enter them into your account. The management of these resources is done in the “Company Data” section. These features can include a product inventory for dynamic ad creation, for example.

Under “Access & Security” you allow other people access to your account. So beware, there is no need to give your account password to other team members! Select the skills that these people will have in your account and keep the privacy at the level that is convenient.

The “Transactions” section is where you define the payment methods and the budget for the credit your ads will need to consume in Google Ads.

6- Measurement

Under “Conversions” you can set up conversion tracking. This step is critical to properly evaluate and optimize campaigns.

7- Summary

In the “Campaigns” area you will get an overview of the campaigns you have created in Google Ads, including charts and tables. “Keywords,” on the other hand, are phrases that allow you to match the ads you create with the terms people are searching for. In the “Publishers” section you can manage your remarketing lists, and thereby control which audiences see your Google Ads campaigns.
